Potter Family Papers
The Genealogical Society of New Jersey—Prepared by Janet T. Riemer (2012)
This manuscript collection is housed at Special Collections and University Archives, Alexander Library, 169 College Avenue, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.
This collection was created by Helen Potter Alleman and used for the preparation and eventual publication of her book, Descendants of Deacon Samuel Potter (1671-1756), Connecticut Farms (now Union), NJ. The order of the folders is the order in which the material was received when donated to the Genealogical Society of New Jersey by her granddaughter in 2011. Acidic folders have been replaced with acid-free folders with headings copied. Paper clips and elastic bands have been removed and numerous newspaper clippings have been photocopied on to more durable paper.
